Sheehan's Idiot Tears
Yesterday on the Michael Medved radio show, a soldier called in and thumped Sheehan with the perfect epithet. He said that she didn't bury a child, that she buried a man, but she keeps acting as if she had sent a boy off to summer camp. I like that the meme is coming around that soldiers are soldiers and to hell with those people who don't understand and recognize what serious business is making war.
One Hundred Hours
I have spent over 100 hours playing Oblivion and the title of the game is not lost on me. I'm finally deciding to settle down in one town and take it over. I'm split between Anvil and Cheydinhal, but it will probably be Anvil. I've closed about 5 portals and they still give me the creeps.
Yesterday I got really pissed at Laura Ingraham for not 'getting it' with regard to the positive aspects of gaming. I'm going to write about that at length.
It turns out that the congresscritter with 90 thousand bucks in his freezer, William Jefferson, is black. I didn't know that.
The next big essay I'm noodling (and I'm tending to noodle before I write these days as blogging is coming a distant fifth from gaming, exercise, my kids' final projects for school and actually reading the books and manuscripts I promised to read) is a real throwdown on the institutional state of black politics. My basic premise reinforces what Sowell has been saying about a peoples' choice between political and economic advancement.
