I've decided to put some dogs in the fight against racism and I'd like to use the power of the blogosphere to assist me.
As a (black) Republican, I get jacked around in discussions about various things, but high on the aggravation scale is the lazy presumption that the Republican Party is the last refuge for white supremacists. What's interesting about that particular presumption is that you'd think those who believe so would be able to name names. But in these days after the death of the KKK, vague feelings of racist insults are about as dangerous as things get. I'm not particularly sanguine about the public's ability to identify and combat the real dangers of racism, but we seem pretty energized to try. To that end, since we are in the blogosphere and have the power of thousands if not millions of minds, why don't we just do some hunting?
I set forth this challenge. Find all of the racists in the blogosphere and bring them out into the harsh sunlight. Let's really see if.
#1. People care enough to try.
#2. There are racists out there.
#3. They are actually philosophically racist.
#4. We can agree on who poses this threat and how dangerous they are.
