Well, sooner than I would like, I am reckoning with the market. Which is to say that I am out looking for a new gig. I recorded a bit of self-documenting blather on Google Video yesterday, rambling in order to put some past, and present into perspective. The future part is a bit weak but the general direction is right. I really want to see what's next for operational OLAP and near-realtime business intelligence whether or not it is based on multidimensionally organized data. I'm fascinated by the possibilities of the multitouch paradigm and new visualization tropes, next generation identity management and the application of cinematics to knowledge management. If I can manage to get through the keyword search algorithms hardwired into the brains of high tech recruiters, then maybe I'll have the opportunity to hookup with the right folks in my next move.
I make some fleeting references to XRepublic, but I would really require some venture capital on that score. Perhaps as I'm working on my next contract and using the more technical parts of my brain, I'll feel out a specification for the product and design a design team that might be presentable to the right parties. For now, it's bacon-hunting time.
