Once upon a time, when I had a flat stomach, I was the network admin and P/A for one of the largest existing client-server networks in the business world, if not the planet. I just happened across a picture of me that I submitted for DigiBarn, the online history museum of obsolete but interesting computer technology.
One of the reasons for my ever-present arrogance, is that but for a series of unfortunate events, I might very well be one of those pre-internet millionaires. I was *that* close to the managers of the Xerox Systems Group who famously fumbled the future. I am long over my ex-Xeroid bitterness, but every once in a while I like to cogitate on what might have been. Instead of general computing and networking, I have stuck pretty close to my theme of computer-augmented decision support. One of these days..
