Having raised 3 kids to teenhood, I'm pretty much at the point where I recognize childish behavior. One thing that kids love to do is repeat the same word or phrase because they like the way it sounds. It doesn't matter what the word or phrase is or what it means. And of course this repetition quickly gets on everybody's nerves. Often much to the surprise and chagrin of the childish one, they are told harshly to SHUTUP.
One such childish phrase bumping around is 'Impeach Bush'. It just sounds good. It makes no sense and mature people are really sick of hearing it.
So this week everybody is talking about which branch of government Dick Cheney belongs to, especially the people who still laugh at juvenile shotgun jokes. I'm not really surprised that some junior staffers from Cheney's office came up with a SHUTUP kind of reply the first time, because after all this was about Waxman's oversight of a request for archiving documents.
The controversy arises from the revelation last week, by Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), that the vice president's office has not cooperated since 2003 with officials at the National Archives and Records Administration, who are charged with policing executive branch compliance with rules protecting classified information. In a letter to Cheney, Waxman wrote that the vice president's office had not responded to letters from the National Archives contesting its legal position.
Remember that? This was about who did Cheney meet with (oil) to talk about (oil) energy policy (oil) and why the Bush (oil) administration felt like they (oil) didn't have to give (oil) out details (oil) of private meetings (oil).
Imagine (blow job) if Republicans (blow job) treated Bill (blow job) Clinton with (blow job) the same callous (blow job) lack of (blow job) respect.
I guess you don't have to imagine that. I don't imagine that this kind of juvenile behavior is going to cease any time soon. Both sides have shown how petty they can be. These days it seems as if every stupid question requires a written reply by an attorney, and of course as long as our idiot (paris hilton) press corps keeps up (paris hilton) with their coverage of these (paris hilton) manufactured scandals then we (paris hilton) will surely not get any better (paris hilton) reportage of the upcoming presidential election.
Does that mean the Hillary Clinton wins? That (whitewater) depends.
But on a halfway serious note. When people think about impeaching Bush, do they also expect Cheney to go or for him to become the new President of the United States? I think that should settle the question about whether or not Cheney's office is an 'agency'.
