It started with a simple question in 2004 in Atlanta. I remember the very first time I heard Spoonman by Soundgarden. So I asked. The guy I asked was Bret Busch. He knew the song. I think he's in Australia now, or that's what he told me. I said that I liked the new rock but there was only one Soundgarden song I knew and loved, the popular one. And he told me this was Soundgarden. I've been hearing only half the lyrics and knowing a fraction of the song. I keep hearing 'save me', but it's about something else - someone else.
