Several years ago, I created a race-neutral test using free code generated by a marketing website called SelectSmart. It was called the Raceman Selector. Over the years there have been over 10,000 runs of this survey. The results are not particularly surprising to me now, but underlay what I've been thinking for some time which is this. Americans don't want to be racist, but a lot of us are. Those who are have the upper hand primarily because they are hard to shut down. That is a consequence of the ineffectiveness of anti-racist politics. Simply because we are anti-racist doesn't mean we are effective rather in the same way that everyone who goes to church on Sunday isn't the best Christian.
- 35.1% Anti-Racist
- 21.4% Racial Bigot
- 15.9% Colorblind
- 14.5% Racist
- 9.8% Racialist
- 3.3% Racial Realist
I just needed to get this into the blog, and hopefully I should be able to reference this easily from now on.
