Well it appears that John McCain has finally gotten to his shortlist. They are three governors, two from the South and one from the Northeast. Romney we know.
We've spoken about Bobby Jindal here briefly. LKS had some negatives on him from a social services perspective back in 2k3. I've heard him speak and he's a bright one.
Crist is a complete stranger to me, and it shows. Hell, I thought Jeb Bush was still running Florida. I can't help but notice that he and McCain would make a gray duo, but he seems to be a safe choice. Evidently, he has some sway among blacks in Florida and that certainly couldn't hurt.
I think Jindal is really an excellent choice, one that comes with some risk of Katrina baggage and inexperience, but would certainly propel McCain into an interesting new spotlight. Jindal can hold his own in any situation and I think Americans would like to hear from him, especially as an Indian politician.
