Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to read this blog post.
At approximately 1900 hours on Sunday July 26th I was on a routine assignment involving online gaming. I signed on to my assigned account for the XBox 360 and proceeded to search for a Halo match. I was shortly thereafter place into a chat lobby for Halo3.
In this chat lobby I witnessed several juvenile males engaged in conversation. I observed that three of them had similar virtual appearance indicating a gang or clan affiliation. In this case it was a logo of a green unicorn. I was able to identify which individuals were speaking through the normal means associated with XBox 360 chat lobbies.
As I monitored their conversation we were placed on the same team and materialized in a combat map called Snowbound. Being on the same team I would have access to their conversations. As they proceeded to the objective of the match, which is to kill members of the opposing team, I recognized that they spoke in a polite, yet passionless monotone. It became apparent that they were mocking me.
The juvenile I identify as Player A was standing directly in front of me as we engaged the enemy. A member of the opposing team, who was driving a vehicle called a Warthog had just been destroyed by the rocket launcher shot by Player A. As the vehicle exploded and burst into flames throwing a member of the opposing team approximately 20 feet into the air, Player A said "Excuse me sir, please step out of your vehicle."
Other such comments were made with increasing frequency by the juvenile players. They continued in a polite, even tone through the mayhem of online multiplayer combat.
"Excuse me sir, I'm going to have to ask you to eat this grenade."
"Dispatch, I'm going to need backup over here. We've got an assailant with a sword."
"Shots fired. Investigating. Holy shit! Officer down! Officer down!"
