I want to kind of direct the open thread Thursday because there are several deeper questions raised during Race Week that have been poked around but not investigated. We can keep it tangential.
The tangent is this. If America gets in a war and is destroyed, what will racial minorities have learned from their sojourn in the belly of the Western beast? Which is to ask if philosophically there might be something rebuilt from the ashes that works better.
One might go to Johannesburg and ask the same question, but my friend tells me that it's as beat up as Detroit.
