So I've got some kind of defect in my body that is causing me pain. Not agonizing pain. but disturbingly sharp stitches of pain at close intervals. I am in a PPO and so I am using the shotgun method. As many doctors and specialists as possible followed closely by yours truly. It's under my bottom rib on the right. So here's the details:
The doctors are puzzled but determined.
I met with Dr. Matsuno on Tuesday:
Dr. Matsuno is my regular doctor and he has four threads he is following.
1. Heartburn - therefore Prilosec and no greasy / fried food.
2. Liver and or Kidney - therefore bloodwork taken Tuesday, results soon.
3. Gallbladder infection or stones. - therefore ultrasound.
4. Muscle pain - therefore ibuprophen
Matsuno's best guess is #3 and so he ordered me an ultrasound. That is scheduled for 5/25. That was his best guess because I felt pain when I breathed in deeply while he applied pressure under my right ribs, and there's not much stomach up in that area.

I met with Dr. Jyotheesarma on Friday:
Dr Jyothee is a Gastrointestinal specialist. His idea is the following.
I did not feel pain in the same way and place as on Tuesday although I have been experiencing it regularly. He said that ibuprophen wouldn't help. His theories are as follows:
1. Gallstone in blocked bile duct - therefore ultrasound.
2. Bile duct infection / bile duct spincter spasm - ditto ultrasound
3. Upper GI infection or Heartburn - therefore Prilosec
4. Liver PH imbalance due to Pravastatin reaction. - therefore bloodwork
I noted today that none of this pain is gotten after eating. I didn't eat breakfast Tuesday morning when I had the problems, nor did I have pain today at this morning's appointment. However I got some sharp shocks just before lunch. And Thursday morning at 10:30 I was feeling it, again having had nothing more than a Red Bull that morning.

Dr. Jyothee, being a specialist, got me a better date for the ultrasound (I though I could get it today, but anything is better than waiting until the end of the month). That is for Tuesday morning 5/2.
I began taking the Prilosec anyway on the off chance that I'm just overanalyzing and overeating, which I doubt but you can't be too safe or sure.

Today was a fairly decent day, I only got two or three attacks, none of which, I note, are in any proximity to my meals. So I'm taking it one day at a time, and with Prilosec just in case I just don't know what heartburn is.
