Hazing is a sophisticated socialization men do to determine if newbs deserve to stay. The more dangerous the profession, the more severe the hazing. Because if you are going to have someone in your squad who has responsibility for your life, you need to understand how they perform under pressure - the pressure of doing the right thing for the squad no matter how he feels. You don't have the luxury of deciding you don't *feel* like doing your job when your poor performance puts somebody's health or life in jeopardy. The more likely such a dangerous scenario is likely to occur, the more important that every individual passes hazing.

If you can't handle the hazing, you need to take your bitch ass home and cry. Everybody is better off without you, because you are a clutch failure just waiting to happen.
